C.A.S.E. Competition 2016/17




the Haskayne Corporate Action in Sustainable Ethics (C.A.S.E.) Competition is an initiative run by a student club called the Haskayne Commerce Undergraduate Society (CUS) at the University of Calgary to provide students with the opportunity to participate in an in-school case competition. It represents two of Haskayne’s key pillars – Corporate Social Responsibility, and Ethical Leadership. The competition is a unique opportunity for business students from all years and concentrations to have an experience which will enrich their academic experience and help strengthen their ethical decision making once they obtain a career.

The case competition will take place on November 26th and the 27th, 2016, with participating teams of 4 presenting their recommendations on Sunday, November 27th.Ten teams of four students each will compete in the C.A.S.E Competition. Teams will have the evening of Saturday, November 26, 2016 to analyze the case and prepare their recommendations. On Sunday, November 27, 2015, teams will begin presentations at 9:00 AM. Once the initial presentations are complete, judges will pick the top three teams at 11:30 AM. The top three teams will have the opportunity to present their recommendation again, in front of a larger audience. Upon the completion of final presentations, judges will pick the winning team, who will receive a cash prize.
Lunch will be provided with the sign up.
Students are suggested to apply for the student experience funding which will refund half the sign up cost
