Sponsored by Ernst & Young, one of the big four accounting firms, the Ernst & Young Leadership Development Program (EYLDP) caters to undergraduate students who would like to develop case preparation, presentation, and leadership skills. In the EYLDP, you will be challenged to hone your case analysis and presentation skills in a smaller and friendlier environment. It is expected that by the last session, you will have worked with five different groups of students and received invaluable advice from accomplished leaders of the Calgary community.
The EYLDP consists of five sessions in which students will be given a chance to analyze and present five different business cases. The first four sessions will include mock case competitions among the participants, which will be presented to a panel of judges. After all groups present, the groups will receive feedback from the session’s judges. The final session will be an actual case competition among the participants.
Students will receive a certificate acknowledging their participation in the program and will be able to apply for recognition on their co-curricular record. Students are selected to participate in the program based on community/school involvement, academic merit, a short essay describing their interest in the program, and availability to attend all the sessions of the program.
The EYLDP is a great opportunity for ambitious students who wish to develop their leadership skills and enrich their University of Calgary undergraduate experience through case-based learning.
Program Dates: October 27th, November 24th, January 19th, March 9th, and March 23rd
Participants selected for the program are expected to attend all five sessions.
