The Haskayne Finance Ethics Case Competition is an initiative run by the Haskayne Commerce Undergraduate Society (CUS) at the University of Calgary to provide students with the opportunity to participate in an in-school case competition. The competition is a unique opportunity for business students from all years and concentrations to have an experience which will enrich their academic career and help strengthen their ethical decision-making once they obtain a career. The case competition will take place on November 17 and 18, 2017, with participating teams of 4 presenting their recommendations on Saturday, November 18th. Ten teams of four students each will compete in the Haskayne Ethics Case Competition. Teams will have the evening of Friday, November 17, 2017, to analyze the case and prepare their recommendations. On Saturday, November 18, 2017, teams will begin presentations at 10:00 AM. Once the initial presentations are complete, judges will pick the top three teams at 12:30 PM. The top three teams will have the opportunity to present their recommendations again, this time in front of a larger audience. Upon the completion of final presentations, judges will pick the winning team, who will receive a cash prize. Both coffee and lunch will be provided with the sign-up.
